Karen Scobie

Karen Scobie is an Actor/Singer/Producer/Writer/Director/VO Actor and Assistant Director/Production Coordinator. She is a graduate of Randolph Academy and owner/operator of the film company Evelyn Eleven Productions. She was a member of the Theatre Circuit and also helped to run a film class (in person & virtual) called Actor Prep Club from 2018-2022 with Hilary June Hart & Cora Matheson. Karen made her writing and producing debut with her short film (which she co-stars in) Good Night, Sleep Tight which premiered in Toronto in 2019. After a year in the film festival circuit, the short film was available for streaming online through the Reel Women’s Network until October 2024. Now the film can be watched for free online through Vimeo (please visit Highlights - 2024 to watch). She can also be seen in the web series Alien House, Cackle Comedy Productions short films Witchcraft Wednesday, Christmas Hostage and Rec Hockey Wives as well as the feature film from Hitchcock Group about the Toronto Yorkville music scene in the 60's called A Song For Us. This film is available to watch on Apple TV, Amazon Prime US & UK, tubi, Roku & Hoopla. Karen made her directorial debut in 2022, directing 9 different demo scenes with Camp on Fire Productions. Karen was back on stage in May as the role of Mrs. Kendal in Bernard Pomerance’s The Elephant Man with Wren Theatre. Check out the show’s wonderful reviews under Highlights: 2023!
